CHALLENGES OF CIVIL SOCIETY ORGANIZATIONS AND HIGHER EDUCATION INSTITUTIONS IN COMMUNITY – BASED RESEARCH

Abstract

The article analyses the ways that can be used to support Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) and Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) collaboration on solving societal problems and to foster knowledge transfer to the community in answering specific research needs and involving students in community - based research. Community - based research is community-driven, participatory and action-oriented research which results are useful to community members in making positive social change and promoting social equity.
