ОЦЕНКА КАЧЕСТВА ВОСПРОИЗВЕДЕНИЯ ТЕКСТОВОЙ ИНФОРМАЦИИ В УСТРОЙСТВАХ НА ОСНОВЕ ЭЛЕКТРОННОЙ БУМАГИ

Abstract

Devices based on electronic paper have lower capability of line reproduction than printing. Comparison of the acutance and MTF between mentioned devices and printing confirmed it. Therefore, it is necessary to optimize the process of selecting book fonts, paying attention to the limitations of the devices. Author proposes simulation of letter visualization process on electronic paper and evaluation with SSIM of reproduction quality of fonts with different typefaces and sizes. Results show the possibility of assessing the quality of reproduction of text information in devices based on electronic paper.
